The E65W GbS has a precision scale under the portafilter. It checks the dose in real time and stops when the portafilter holds the target amount.
Humidity, temperature and bean freshness change during the day. With time-based grinding the dose changes too. With grind by weight it stays the same and the barista can focus on the rest.
The grinder has electric burr adjustment and supports The Sync System. Connected to the machine it matches the grind to the target extraction time from the recipe.

questions about the E65W GbS
Why a grinder with a scale if I have a scale on the bar?
The grinder measures the dose itself while grinding. The barista does not have to weigh every portafilter and top up coffee, so peak hours run faster and the dose stays constant.
E65W or E80W GbS?
Both weigh the coffee and support The Sync System. The E65W has 65 mm burrs and a slimmer body. The E80W has 80 mm burrs, higher output and active cooling for very high volume.
Will the grinder stop without internet?
No. Without a connection it keeps grinding by weight. It just does not adjust settings based on machine data.
